Backup windows 98 drivers




















I would like to be able to just restore everything in one click so to speek without having to reinstall every program I own that I use.

I would like to backup to this drive and be able to restore from this drive. If I cant then I can use my drive G: which is on the orig internal drive. I have a fairly good understanding of computers but am new tothis situation. I have always just dumped everything and started over. There must be an easier way. Please help if you can.

Share Flag. All Comments. Collapse -. The programs function to backup and restore your drivers happily does not require the account registration and can be used freely. You can choose to backup selected drivers through ticking the boxes, or all drivers at once. The restore process is a simple reversal of backup apart from you may have to locate the backup zip on a clean install. Watch out for the offer of adware during install, and make sure to quit the program afterwards as it stays in the system tray.

Download DriverMax. The program is also handy for the USB toolkit being a standalone executable. When you choose to backup and run a scan of the system, all drivers found will be displayed including Microsoft ones, but only the third party drivers are selected by default which is useful.

The backup can be output in 3 different ways; structured folder, zip archive or as a self extracting executable. Unfortunately the last option caused my Double Driver to crash. Figure A.

Our old CD burning program was not working so I decided to use the usb in desperation. The usb port is not working in our Win 98 computer in the first place so I searched the internet for a driver.

I wanted to connect my external Mb HDD to the one USB port on this laptop, I was doubtful if this would work, but as soon as I installed this driver and rebooted, my external was detected as a mass storage device and works great. Thank you! I had been going around in circles beforehand.

I need to retain an older PC in order to be able to program some of the older 2-way mobile and portable radio equipment which is still soldiering on. However, in the device manager it showed up as? But then when clicking and selecting update driver… Win98se found and loaded the general USB mass storage driver for it.

Nice… I can see the files as loaded under E: drive now. It works!!!
